Multi-participant XR theatre at Brighton Dome

unReal City is an experimental performance blending live theatre by learning-disabled artists with virtual and mixed reality. Framed as a viewing of futuristic smart-city apartments, the work invites two audience members at a time into a shared digital environment where they can explore, meet other guests and question how human connection changes when identity is mediated through technology.

The project uses XR not simply as a visual layer but as the setting for a social encounter, asking whether connection is easier, richer or fundamentally different when experienced in person or through an avatar.
