Metamirror
Hybrid physical and virtual live music event
Metamirror was a live music event staged simultaneously in London’s IKLECTIK venue and a connected virtual ‘meta-venue’. Audiences could attend physically or join remotely through mobile, desktop or VR, creating a shared performance space across multiple forms of presence.
Funded by StoryFutures Academy, the project formed part of an R&D initiative investigating how technology can connect artists and audiences regardless of location. The work explored practical models for hybrid performance, remote participation and social connection between physical and virtual venues.
